VA - It's In My Soul (A Butterboy Compilation), Memphis Soul, Chicago Soul, New Orleans Soul and Philadelphia Soul (12 x CDs) PART 3 NEW ORLEANS SOUL

MORE SOUL MUSIC

VA  - It's In My Soul (A Butterboy Compilation), Memphis Soul, Chicago Soul, New Orleans Soul and Philadelphia Soul (12 x CDs)

As promised here are other soul sub-genres which will  be compiled at a later date. Including Memphis Soul, Chicago Soul, New Orleans Soul and Philadelphia Soul.

NEW ORLEANS SOUL is a musical style derived from the soul music which has a large influence of the Gospel (music). New Orleans soul has ingredients of pop music and soul and is influenced by boogie-woogie style. The songs always are accompanied by a piano and a saxophone. This became known, mainly, in the postwar era, in the Crescent City. This genus stands out for its pop base (what can be seen in the structures of genus) and Rock rhythms that have become very influenced by the "second line" hits, very popular in the city. The Caribbean music and Latin music from the 60's, that earned a great importance in the city, also inspired to this genre of Soul to develop more exotic rhythms. There are also normal midtempo rhythms. The musicians give more importance to the music and sound that to the letter, which sometimes makes no sense. The choir is always feminine, with the participation of one or two women in it.

Presented here are 12 x CD's of  Soul music, specifically 60 tracks each of each sub-genre is 3 x CD's and will be posted each day until each set of CD's is complete. I hope you enjoy the choices.

    1. Hi renald,
I checked the file link and its working fine for me. Try again or try another browser. That may work better for you.
As you can see there are nearly 600 DL's already. My experience is that when visitors have problems downloading it is generally something to do with their own computer setup. That I cannot help with.
      Good luck

      Cheers.

    1. Hi Aging Child,
You will be all Souled out by the the time you listen to all these compilations. It was a mammoth task but after the 8, 3 track list sets I needed a break. Some excellent music here for you and your friend. Most don't have repeated tracks (I hope). If that does occur just delete the track, or just leave it (But it does play with your head when you think you have heard it previously) or please substitute a track of your choice.

PS I really enjoy your fun with language on your other soul posts.😀 I probably wont respond to them all, but please know I appreciate your time to let me know how you feel about the posts. I will try to stop the Whoops moments.

      Cheers.

  8. Whoops - Butter, it looks like Tracks # 4 and 23 are identical twins... and that's _not_ a lie. Is there a substitute we can shoehorn in to spice up the boudin sausage? Right now I'm holding its place with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's 1972 version of Waylon Jennings's 1952 "Jambalaya on the Bayou". It's more Country than soulful, but the the shrimp are still excellent. Thanks for everything; cheers!
