VA - BEST Song Intros (A Butterboy Compilation) (6 x CD's) PART 2

BEST SONG INTROS

VA - BEST Song Intros (A Butterboy Compilation) (6 x CD's)

Every now and then the beginning of a song makes the whole track, or at least prepares us for what is to come. Intros that don't just encourage but require you to keep listening. Without a good intro we would probably just turn the song off all together.  The songwriter tries to build expectation and lead us into something great. Sometimes they just have a hook so barbed that even if you stopped the track the hook would remain in your head days later.

Some song intros take their time and slowly pull you in. Others simply grab your attention and slap you with a sound the say, wake up here I am.  This set of 150 songs is a mixture of both. I hope you can agree these tracks are great because of their classic intros. Enjoy!

  2. Hey BB.. did this fine comp have anything to do with my comment suggestion #5 in the Bubble Gum Festival post a couple months ago? Noticed you used my 2 examples so was wondering if this was one of the rare occasions I had a worthwhile idea. Anyway, this comp is both interesting and captivating! For the record, so to speak.. those Caravan, Genesis, Neil Young, and Wishbone Ash numbers are all classic listens from equally great albums. Thanks again for putting this all together!

    1. Hi mrRadio,
I cannot say for certain that your previous comments were the driver for some tracks here but the likelihood is they have subconsciously been locked away in my vault. If you named a track I would definitely have considered a way to use it. Your comments are always appreciated here and as I have said before, you take time to made an analysis of what is presented and give great feedback. I agree with you about Caravan, Genesis, Neil Young, and Wishbone Ash numbers being great listens. There is a lot of tracks in the 6 disc set and will probably do another 6 in the future.

      Cheers
