I have tons of compilations and sets of original cuts of oldies from 1950-1965 and this 10 disc set,even though I have a lot of these same songs on other sets I own, this particular Time Life selection has songs that I haven't heard since I was in my early teens and they are not listed on sets I've previewed or purchased--for instance the song "When" not only did I instantly recognize it on this Time Life selection (all these years forgotten about it) set but I remember where i was when this song played but I have not heard this song on any station or disc of oldies since I was 15 there are others that are rare that are on this set and therefore, such a treasure in this collection. This set was expensive but to me, it was well worth it. Another thing to point out is that all these songs are the original cuts played by Disc jockeys of the time frame the songs originally came out. I've been so disappointed on oldies cds that have later versions of popular songs of the 50s and 60s but they are not the original cut and or sound that was the original version of the songs when they were first time hits played on the radio---this selection is the real deal--it has the exact sound of when the music originally was played on the radio at that time.
