BB, as one who grew up during that era, my hat is off to you. Wonderful compilation!
ReplyDeleteThanks pmac.
DeleteI enjoy listen back to those days also. Even though I was young the times resonated for me.
Cheers.
June 1966, 14 years old... the beginning of my musical awakening! Great Series, Thanks BB
ReplyDeleteHi Patrick.
DeleteHow we link our memories to Music, Love and Family... The mind can be as beautiful thing.
Cheers.
The months are getting better all the time - loved 1966. Many thanks, again, Paul
ReplyDeleteThanks Paul,
DeleteIts fun pulling them together.
Cheers.
Love these. I was being incubated during the year that was 1966 and can't wait for September, amigo!!
ReplyDeleteHi DLA,
DeleteIts amazing the diversity of tracks during this period. Such a great time for music. Not long until September....
Cheers.
BB
ReplyDeleteI just put to bed all the months from Jan to June.
I came across many tracks that I didn't know, and it struck me that that is the reason I collect music on the web. It is to find people and sounds that I missed at the time.
Thank you and all the other contributors for bringing new sounds along with old favourites to my ears and my heart.
I have really enjoyed pulling this series together lemonflag.
DeleteI have tried to capture the tracks that were not top 10 but below #50 at that time. Some of course became bigger hits while others disappeared until such compilations exist. I am glad that you are enjoying these.
Cheers.
One of the greatest Beatles songs to start this (''Rain'').....Originally a B Side ("Paperback Writer") I believe and should have been a A Side single in its own right.
ReplyDeleteWonderful stuff.
Cheers
Stephen
Hi Stephen,
DeleteIts also a favorite of mine. I think is a great song.
Cheers.
