BB LUCKY DIP #182
Lucky Dip's will be a mystery gift to those who choose to pick them up.
Today's topic: POWER POP 1
Stephen's Quote of The Day:
"Hey man the name of the Plymouth fast back is the Barracuda
I can't pronounce Bacarruda
Yeah well look man try this...
say BA (BA), RRA (RRA), CU (CU), DA (DA)!
Now put it altogether!
Ba-ba-rra-rra-cu-cu-da-da!
Well it ain't Barracuda man
But I think we got a hit record Ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba... (x4)
...Barracudas – “Summer Fun” (1980)

Hi Il Commendatore.
DeleteThere is magic to be had in every genre. I hope you will find something in this lot.

Ohhh... just noticed your follow-up by chance. No I did not.. Good one! Thank you for pointing that out.
DeleteAlso, an FYI for one of the albums here in DIp#182 . So as not to give group away here in comments, it's the last one alphabetically and the only one from 1982... that album has the song titles correct but the internal MP3 labels are wrong (all jumbled around). Just happened to notice that. Hope you are enjoying your balmy days there... it's frigid cold here. Brrrrrrrrr.
Oh, I see.
DeleteA very Beatle-esque album. The weird thing is when I look at the stored files, they are OK but when I downloaded the link it was as you say. Nobody has mentioned that after hundreds of downloads.
Hot as Hades here 41C today, again... (it was 26C at 6am)
Cheers.
A mystery! Well I can think of only three reasons at the moment why this has occurred...
ReplyDelete(1) Source files (you think you used) to create that zip file were not the actual ones used.
This's the most likely, so think about that (you have alotta files!) and look for another set.
(2) Software is to blame. The software you used to process or package the source files
automatically changed/updated the MP3 label data for you (incorrectly in this instance).
Did you use sound processing software to raise or even out the audio levels b4 zipping?
(3) There could be two sets of MP3 data (of differing levels/versions) within each file.
If true, this scenario would be most unusual but is technically possible to accomplish.
Using same method (player/tagger) to check (likely you do) eliminates this possible.
Just passing along my thoughts on that.
You got a genuine scorcher there! I'm the only thing that's close to "balmy" here.
