DeleteGlad to hear you finally were able to download it.

It's too bad that they didn't included a song or two by Peggy Scott and Jo Jo Benson. I've long felt that they where the template for Delaney and Bonnie...they even recorded the first version of "Soul Shake". And one of there singles was a hit in the summer on 1968, at least it was here in Portland Oregon
ReplyDeleteHi Guypinot,
DeleteIt's fascinating how Peggy Scott and Jo Jo Benson's music has left such a lasting impression. Their duet "Soul Shake" is indeed a classic. They were a dynamic duo, and their influence on other artists is undeniable. It's interesting to think of them as a template for Delaney and Bonnie. Their single "Lover's Holiday" was a hit in the summer of 1968, reaching number 31 on the Billboard Hot 100. It's great to hear that their music resonated with you in Portland, Oregon. Their soulful sound and memorable performances have certainly stood the test of time.
Cheers.
Thanks BB
