10CC
10cc - Before, During, After The Story Of 10cc [2017] (4 x CD's)
Before During After - The Story of 10cc is a special box set, curated with input from the band to detail each and every chapter of their musical story. It Is the first complete, career-encompassing collection of the work of 10cc - Eric Stewart, Lol Crème, Kevin Godley and Graham Gouldman, together and apart. Features tracks from the band members' pre-10cc recordings, plenty of great 10cc hits, solo releases, side projects and more.
This is a great summation of what the 10cc guys were up to outside of 10cc. I wish this had 10cc studio outtakes and unreleased songs, demos, etc but it's great despite that. 10cc are among the greats like the Beatles, Beach Boys, etc as a band that really knew how to exploit the studio and I'd love to see what didn't make it on the albums. (Amazon)
Eric Stewart co-wrote six songs on Paul McCartney‘s 1986 album Press To Play and one of these tracks, Pretty Little Head, is included on disc two. However, it’s the single mix that features here, which was radically remixed by Larry Alexander for the seven-inch single. This version has never been issued on CD, so this is a genuine rarity.
