Thanks BB - once again another group I need to explore (and I can comment again after something went wrong at my end for the last few days!)
ReplyDeleteHi Dr Robert.
DeleteI am glad you solved the dilemma of not being able to comment.
If you are not familiar with their work this should be a real treat. Happy exploring!
Cheers.
Love this set. Thanks so much BB!
ReplyDeleteHi Richard Bock.
DeleteGlad to hear.
It is a great sound they achieve.
Cheers.
Many thanks for all of these. I have Die Mensch Maschine & Trans Europa Express (in German) on CD. It's really interesting to hear these songs in their native language. Kraftwerk, for me, the best thing to come out of Germany... EVER!
ReplyDeleteHi Michael,
DeleteA great group indeed and a wonderful set t0 immerse oneself into. Enjoy.
And when looking at the files I noticed that the Electric Cafe album has been renamed "Techno Pop".
ReplyDelete“Electric Café” and “Techno Pop” are not the same song, but they are closely related. “Electric Café” is the title track of Kraftwerk’s 1986 album, which was originally intended to be called "Techno Pop". The album was later re-released in 2009 under its original working title, "Techno Pop"
DeleteThe album features a suite of tracks that include “Electric Café” and “Techno Pop” are both listed as one of the songs. So, while they are part of the same album and share thematic elements, they are distinct tracks.
Cheers
