In their hometown of Sisak, the metal and oil industry centre, people hadn’t seen that kind of band before. Lada Furlan (bass), Dalibor Pavičić (guitar), Dinko Tomljanović (guitar) and Hrvoje Zaborac (drums)  established a pure 60s-style instrumental surf rock combo in Croatia. All of their dreams came true after their album Intensity! (1999), when they were invited by Warner Bros to support R.E.M. in Slovenia. R.E.M.’s Peter Buck and Scott McCaughey plus an early international follower, Chris Eckman (The Walkabouts), dropped by as guests for the third album, Sonic Bullets: 13 From the Hip (2001).

Intensive touring around the world, including several more European dates with R.E.M., was a key factor in establishing THE BAMBI MOLESTERS as one of the flagbearers of the global surf rock revival, as well as one of the most interesting contemporary instrumental rock combos, featured also in the soundtrack of the hit TV series Breaking Bad.

THE STRANGE is a group that emerged as a result of the successful collaboration and friendship between Chris Eckman and The Bambi Molesters. After The Bambi Molesters disbanded (2018), Lada, Hrvoje & Dinko formed the group LHD.

Dalibor continued working with the group The Strange, and is also a member of B. Confidential and The Secret Four.

The two-part compilation (44 songs) contains a pdf booklet with basic information.

The spaghetti westerns of the 60's and 70's were very popular with cinema audiences of the time. The bad guys, the good guys, sometimes a good plot(!), but best of all the music. The twangy guitars and the "widescreen" orchestration fit in perfectly with the desert landscapes and the drama on screen. Ennio Morricone was one of the original composers of this genre and all others followed his style. This collection contains some of his classic western themes and will leave you reaching for that six shooter and spurred boots!!

Only Various Artists compilations will be accepted.

Only one compilation per week from each contributor with a limit of 25 tracks per track list per submission. (Total 25 tracks only). You can submit a new track list the following week.

The Topic is your choice, Genre is your choice, and any music is acceptable. (If readers don't like the topic or choices then they don't have to pick them up)

 When presenting your submission, the Topic of your compilation should be Noted as well as the sound quality of the compilation. (i.e., 320Kbps MP3, Flac, etc).

Whilst most would prefer MP3's @ 320 kbps all I request is a good sound quality. 

A track list must be supplied together with a LINK for your Compilation.  (Please do not send the compressed file)

Artwork is not necessary but would be welcomed. All submissions need to arrive via email to:

Entries must be received by Midnight, Wednesday. (Wherever you are in the world.)

Once received, your entries will be checked for content matching the track lists provided. If an entry is considered unsafe or different to the track list provided it will be deleted. If your submissions are outside the guidelines they will not be included (No questions asked and no reply)
