VA - Grooves Vol. 01-Vol.14 (Time Life) [1994-1996] + Bonus CD Year In Review [1995] (15 x CD's)

During the years 1994-1996 Time-Life produced a CD & Magazine called "Grooves". Grooves was an open-ended budget-priced sampler series sold by subscription (CDs for $9.99  or Cassettes for $7.99). It was intended to promote primarily new Rock and Alternative music to an adult audience. Each volume contained a small fold-out magazine describing the artists featured on the CD. The series was cancelled after 14 volumes.  Veteran New York City DJ Vin Scelsa was given full control of the project, and a total of 14 wonderful issues were produced.  They each highlighted Vin's selections of the best tracks from the best new albums/artists of the time.  In addition, the last track on every CD was a bonus acoustic track by one of the featured artists recorded in the studio just for "Grooves".  It was the next best thing to listening to Vin's radio show, "Idiot's Delight".  Other than the 14 volumes in the series, there was a special CD at the end of 1995 titled "The Year in Review" also included as a bonus here.  Enjoy!
