Hi Doc,
DeleteI am glad you feel comfortable to view your opinion on this post and the others that do not excite you. It is refreshing, however I post what is considered a broad and eclectic sets of music an all genres. You also know that I have uploaded a significant amount of great jazz albums and box sets. Sometimes people do not know what a particular genre has available and I try to offer introductory items as well as serious music to All who visit here. I know you also appreciate that. This site is for everyone and not specific to history of music alone. It is also a fun site that has been growing in popularity since day one.
I am not at all disturbed by your comments and I thank you for opening the discussion for all. Also thank you for The Blue Note's Jazz Got Blues - A DOC C-90 Comp. It is beautiful.
Cheers.

Not my usual thing so a great chance for me to check out classic jazz -- thanks!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome Gummo.
DeleteIt may lead you to explore this genre more.
Cheers.
Totally agree with you Doc. Disco is not my cup of tea, absolutely sure!!! When you don't know how to listen, listen to Blues, everything comes from there, even Jazz, it was John Coltrane who said that. Thanks BB for, you do your best. It's great. Patrick
ReplyDeleteHi Patrick
DeleteThis site is not a Jazz and Blues site although I offer a lot of it to people. If items posted don't fit a persons liking then I am sure they just leave it alone. You know what I like. Thanks Patrick.
Cheers.
I know a lot of these Blue Notes musicians, don't forget the fantastic "Blue Note" sound engineer, Rudy Van Gelder who propelled all these musicians with the precision of sound, it is absolutely timeless!!!! Thanks BB.
ReplyDeleteHi Patrick.
DeleteAgreed.
Here is a link to my Jazz links. You will see how many great albums are here.

I am very attentive to your work, I really like the roots, whether Rock'n'Roll, Rhythm & Blues, Blues & Jazz of course... the 60s (Psychedelic!). I am aware that there is something for everyone, the thanks on the comments, it's on all the blogs... Doc knew that on the blogs he tried to create, didn't he!... So.
ReplyDeleteThanks again BB. Sincerely. Patrick
