Eric Burdon - The Unreleased Eric Burdon Vol. 1 & 2 [1992] + Eric Burdon - Ultimate Rarities Vol. 1 & 2 [2008]

ERIC BURDON

Eric Burdon - The Unreleased Eric Burdon Vol. 1 & 2 [1992] + Eric Burdon - Ultimate Rarities Vol. 1 & 2 [2008]

Eric Victor Burdon (born 11 May 1941) is an English singer-songwriter and actor. He was previously the vocalist of rock band the Animals and funk band War. He is regarded as one of the British Invasion's most distinctive singers with his deep, powerful blues-rock voice. He is also known for his aggressive stage performances. In 2008, he was ranked 57th in Rolling Stone's list The 100 Greatest Singers of All Time. (Wikipedia)

The strength of his voice is fantastic. The rendition of the songs are different than the 45s but if you want to hear the songs that way, there are other great albums. This is live baby with heart and soul! All songs on these CD's have never been released in the versions that appear here. with one exception where part of this version of "Crawling Kingsnake" was used throughout the "Comeback" film and have appeared in a much-edited version on various albums. This 10 minute plus extended version is the first time one can hear the actual studio session as it was recorded.  A must have for the fan and/or collector. (Amazon)

  1. Hi Butterboy,
Regarding to Eric Burdon I only know his career as a frontman of The Animals so there's a lot to discover yet. Let's see how these unreleased tracks and rarities sound like, I'll give them a try.
    Thanks a lot!

    1. Hi djmcblues2,
I think Eric Burdon has a great voice and always made the Animals sound distinctive and memorable. The Animals are an underrated group.
It would be a lot easier to for me to just put a link and be done with it but there are many people who may not know who the artist is and what they are about. They may have heard of the artist but may not know the sound they actually make or made. I feel the introduction is important.
Thank you for saying the introductory comments are a treat.

      Cheers
