  1. I must say that I too am enjoying this series immensely! This was a time, before the British Invasion, when music styles that came out of the 40's and rock 'n' roll from the 50's were maturing into new forms of pop. Radio was still king. The relevance of disc jockey personalities and their contribution to the enjoyment of our music was just starting to be realized. I was limited to the USA side of things, so it's great to hear a few other influences of that time now!
    One selection that threw me off.. I did not realize Paul Revere went back that far.. learned something there.

    First thing that came to my mind was that the headline had a typo and was meant to read 50 years ago! Then it slowly came to me that it was correct. What an old geezer I am turning in to. Thanks for this, it's a wonderful time machine.
