Very nice, something I have never seen. I especially like the 60s set. Teenage Sonata was such a strange song for Sam's first. Pledging My Love is in my top ten. Thanks BB
ReplyDeleteThanks, lemonflag.
DeleteI am surprised you do not know of this set. It great that you get to hear another way of presenting these great tracks.
Cheers.
thank you B.B. as always
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Aussie.
DeleteCheers.
Not simply forgotten, but .. sorry, just never noticed (I was 5-9 in those years and our radio stations played nothing like that). So this is a great opportunity to re-capture a certain "lost island" of the days before Beat, Rock and everything after. Thanks again, BB, and Best as always: TC
ReplyDeleteHi TC.
DeleteIt's a great set that I hope you will enjoy for a long time.
Cheers.
Thanks BB. 👍 Often the so called "rarities" or "forgotten songs" were B-sides and fillers that weren't popular at the time, but with the then-listeners yearning for more of the songs from their youth, record companies saw a new source of revenue. As a general statement, some are OK, but many should remain forgotten.
ReplyDeleteHi hedspace,
DeleteMaking music is like making a cake. It often rises well and looks great, however, sometimes it remains a little flat. But you know what, it always tastes good. Enjoy!
Cheers.
Excellent sounds, made all the better with Etta James included......
ReplyDeleteCheers
