MELTING BUTTER , 70's SMOOTH SOUNDS
There are hundreds of artists I could have chosen from for this compilation but limited it to 48 artists for the fifty track here. (There are 2 each from Seals and Croft and Chicago). Some of the usual suspects are there but I have tried to include interesting tracks you don't hear that often anymore.
I stayed within the 70's for all tracks (except one, Climax Blues Band - I Love You [1980]. I thought it was a 1979 track before I printed the covers. (forgive me or delete it).
I chose soft rock/smooth rock for the majority of tracks with a bit of soul thrown in for good measure (still smooth sounds from the 70's), that I liked. Each song makes me feel good after listening to them. I hope you get the same pleasure. My favorite smooth rock has a light and melodic feel that soothes me no matter what type of day I've had. (I would also argue this case for much of the Jazz I listen to and probably a lot of progressive rock that I also partake in)
I opened this compilation with one of my favorite soft rock tracks, She's Gone by Daryl Hall & John Oates letting it set the mood for whats ahead.
