Herbert von Karajan Deutsche Grammophon Complete Recordings [2008] Part 1

HERBERT VON KARAJAN
Herbert von Karajan Deutsche Grammophon Complete Recordings [2008] (240 x CD's)

I have had many requests to Re-up this wonderful box set.  So for those who are interested, here are the first of the re-ups (30 CD's) from the Herbert von Karajan Deutsche Grammophon Complete Recordings [2008] (240 x CD's). I will up load the next 30 CD's in the near future and will follow this pattern until completed and /or as time permits .They are All 320Kbps and fully tagged.
Herbert von Karajan Deutsche Grammophon Complete Recordings. This is an absolutley fantastic classical music set. I read somewhere that this was the largest box set in recording history (may have been at the time this was purchased), but I have seen a box set with 330CD's. It was released to commemorate Karajan's 100 years since his birth. What a birthday gift. 240 CDs with a total running time of 252 hours! This box  was only issued in Japan. It was presented in a wooden cabinet which included the 240 CD's in 10 x 24 CD boxes, Not-for-sale CD "Karajan rehearsals" (2 CD), Karajan Book (Japanese texts), Special Book (Japanese text).  The 10 Volumes are as follows: Vol.1 (1938-1943) - CD 1-6, Vol.2 (1959-1965) - CD 7-27, Vol.3 (1965-1966) - CD 28-50, Vol.4 (1967-1969) - CD 51-79, Vol.5 (1970-1972) - CD 80-102, Vol.6 (1973-1975) - CD 103-129, Vol.7 (1976-1979) - CD 130-156, Vol.8 (1979-1981) - CD 157-188, Vol.9 (1982-1984) - CD 189-216, Vol.10 (1985-1989) - CD 217-240,

Karajan's Deutsche Grammophon complete recordings is recorded in chronological order. From the "Magic Flute" overture of the 1938 recording used as first recording to the recording of the last in 1989, and the Symphony No.7 of Bruckner.

  1. More than likely one could reassemble a nice-sounding version of the "Allegro Non Troppo" soundtrack [which used the DG von Karajan/Berlin Philharmonic recordings as its music] from just these disks alone! (Save, of course, for the last two tracks, which were by different orchestras.)

  5. Hi there BB,
Many thanks for this but it looks as if CD 007-009 https://www16.zippyshare.com/v/tXgEhK5i/file.html
is actually Herbert Von Karajan - Complete DG Recordings Vol. 02 1959-1965 [2008] CD007+08+09.zip

i.e. vol 2 rather than vol 1. Is it the wrong file or the wrong name? I'm really looking forward to this set..

    cheers

    1. You are correct Dave.
      Volume 1 are the first 6 CDs. Volume 2 should be CD's 07 - 27.
Apologies for the inconvenience. There was a second post which included CD's 31-60. Others will follow in due coarse.
      Cheers

  9. BB, was listening to Bruckner's 7th Sympnony last night. I wouldn't have it if it wasn't for this wonderful share from many years ago. For ever indebted to you for sharing HvK's works :)
