VA - Perfect Pairs, Great Music Duo's (A Butterboy Compilation) CD1 + CD2

GREAT ROCK DUO'S

There is something naturally cool about two people creating great music. The pairing of two minds to create greatest music around can, at times, be a challenge, but as we hear, the rewards are plentiful and with a beauty all its own. Music duos have been a very important part of music history. Famous musical duos from the '50s and '60s wrote a lot of songs that would go on to be covered by many bands of many genres and became radio standards that are still played today. As a famous duo sang: "You Got Me Babe and I Got You" If you get two voices to connect harmoniously you will be rewarded with unforgettable songs.  From the classic folk of Simon & Garfunkel to the indie rock of The White Stripes, duos have secretly reigned over popular music for many years. Whatever your musical preference is, there’s a duo available for you.  Duos are generally less egotistical than a solo performer and are more intimate than a band. Musical duos exemplify a special harmony that creates a special type of intimacy. Many of these artists have stood the test of time despite some relationships being only temporary, and made music that cab be identified with them alone.

I hope the choices here are some of your favorites too. Enjoy!

  1. Ahhh, ButterBoy - thank you for another fine compilation. And, as is often the case with your concepts, this one could be stretched out over several more CDs - you're particularly great at getting your music friends to not just listen, but also to _think_. Lead on, sir - cheers!
