VA - In The Charts JULY1963 (A Butterboy Compilation) CD1+CD2+CD3

This continues the series "In The Charts 1963" ... visiting the tracks that are familiar and forgotten.

All these tracks were in the US and/or UK charts in JULY  1963.

It seems like yesterday we were dancing to these tunes. I hope you enjoy this mix of artists from USA and UK.

I hope you enjoy all of these sometimes-forgotten tracks from 1963.

  3. Don't think many teens in the UK were dancing to most of these. It's nice to have them though but there was a huge difference in the UK and US top 20 charts then. We didn't have any other radio stations in the UK to hear a lot of these US hits, except for the BBC and the dodgy-sounding Radio Luxembourg. I guess the US stations hadn't caught up with the beat groups yet. Not complaining of course. Thanks, Paul

    1. Hi Paul,
The series is full of hits and unknown/remembered songs. 1963 was an amazing year.
      Cheers.

  5. This was the year I started playing in the school band. Took every opportunity to stray from the "approved list" to play these new songs. Many thanks BB.
