READERS POLL #04 MESSAGE 1

READERS POLL #04         MESSAGE 1

Greetings music enthusiasts!

It's been a while since I hosted a Readers Poll, but due to the overwhelming response to my most recent Reader Poll "And In The End...Great Closing Tracks" series, I've decided to do another one.

This time, I want to know what you think is the Greatest Blues Rock Track of all time.

Blues Rock is a unique genre that combines elements of blues and rock music. It's a high-energy, electric ensemble-style music characterized by bluesy improvisation and extended boogie jams typically focused on electric guitar solos. Blues Rock has gone through several stylistic shifts over the years, and it has inspired and influenced other genres like hard rock, Southern rock, and early heavy metal.

If you're a fan of music with lots of energy, guitar solos, and emotional lyrics, then Blues Rock is right up your alley!

To participate in the Readers Poll, all you have to do is email me up to 3 songs that you think are the greatest Blues Rock tracks of all time. Please include the song title, artist name, album name, and year of release in the following template:

Please send your submissions to BUTTER2020ap@proton.me by 30th April,2023.

Once all the submissions are in, I'll collate them and create a set of CDs that reflect your choices. This is a huge project, so it may take a little while to complete. However, I'm sure the results will be worth the wait!

Thank you for participating, and I can't wait to see what you all come up with!

Cheers

BB

  2. Just about every second rock/psych band, well known and otherwise from around 1965 onwards had at least one blues track on their album.
As you said this is a huge undertaking.
