Sharing Zone Suspension Notice

To all Butterboy visitors, friends, and long‑time supporters:

The Sharing Zone has always been a place built on trust, generosity, and respect, a corner of this blog where people could exchange music, memories, and good energy. Recently, I posted a message indicating that the Sharing Zone was undergoing a test. That message was genuine at the time.

Unfortunately, ongoing poor behaviour from a disruptive individual has made it impossible to maintain the safe and welcoming environment that this community deserves. Despite repeated efforts to manage the situation, the behaviour continued, and I will not allow it to affect the experience of the many respectful visitors who make this place what it is.

For that reason, the Sharing Zone is now suspended. This is not a permanent closure, but a necessary pause while I work on a solution that prevents the same issues from happening again. The goal is simple: If and when the Sharing Zone returns, it will be stable, protected, and enjoyable for everyone who uses it in the right spirit.

Thank you for your understanding, your patience, and your continued support of the Butterboy blog. The music and the community remain strong, and the Sharing Zone will return once it can do so safely.

Thank you for all your messages, your support, and you're understanding. The Sharing Zone has always worked because of the people who visit, generous, patient, and willing to help each other. Seeing so many of you respond with kindness and encouragement means a great deal.

I know the suspension is disappointing, and I share that feeling. The Zone was built for sharing, not for disruption, and your reactions show exactly why the community around this blog is strong. Loyal followers, long‑time friends, and new visitors alike have reminded me why the space matters.

This pause may be temporary. It’s simply a chance to reset things so the Zone can return in a clearer, safer, and more enjoyable way for everyone, if pssible. Your support makes that easier, and I’m grateful for it.

I want to express my deep gratitude to everyone who has contributed to the Butterboy’s Compilations Blog in 2025. Your music, ideas, and energy have enriched each day and made this space thrive.

MESSAGE TO ALL VISITORS - Slow Down

Dear friends,

Over the next few months, I’ll be easing back on the blog workload to make space for other activities that need my attention. This doesn’t mean the music stops, it just means the pace will be a little gentler.

I want to sincerely thank you for your loyalty, encouragement, and ongoing support. The community here has always been the heartbeat of this project, and your enthusiasm keeps it alive.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone for the kind birthday wishes and thoughtful words. I truly appreciate the time you’ve taken to share your messages; they mean a great deal to me. Your support and friendship make this journey all the more rewarding.

When I was in my twenties, I often felt older than my years. While friends chased late nights and loud adventures (not that I didn't partake many times), I found comfort in quieter spaces, a chair, a record spinning, a good conversation.

They joked that I was “retired early,” but I never saw it that way. It wasn’t about age at all, just about knowing what felt right for me. Over time I realized that being “elderly young” was simply another way of saying I carried a calmness others hadn’t found yet.

And the truth is, aging isn’t the point, it’s how you live, what you value, and the joy you take from each moment. Whether you’re twenty or seventy, it’s the spirit you bring to life that counts. Now that I am "young elderly" nothing has really changed.

It’s moments like these that remind me how lucky I am to be surrounded by such thoughtful people. Your kindness adds joy to the day and makes the celebration feel even more special.

I know how much thought goes into picking just three tracks that speak to your soul (it’s a challenge I struggle with myself!). A heartfelt thank you to everyone who provided all the necessary details, and a special shoutout to those who even sent MP3 files to support their choices. While this wasn't requested, it's incredibly useful and much appreciated.

This Readers Poll compilation is shaping up to be a spectacular set. With many more responses expected before the closing date on February 28, 2025, I certainly have my hands full.

Lately I have received a bunch of reupload requests from visitors which is great, and I am happy to reupload anywhere there are dead links.

Unfortunately, in some cases it is a lot of work to reinstate these, and I am finding it a bit of a task at the moment.

Please know that I will continue to reupload these as I can. Some may take longer than usual but I will message when they are reuploaded.

If they don't show up after a few days after your request, they will be collated, and I will repost them on Monday's.

Hello Everyone,

I’m happy to announce that I have my PC back and I’m ready to resume my normal blogging activities.

As you know I had some computer issues last week, but luckily, everything is fine now. I had some posts scheduled in advance, so the blog was still updated daily. However, I had to use my old tablet, which was not very convenient. I’m glad that my technician was able to recover all my files and disks. I learned a lot from this experience, and I will make sure to keep an active working /preparation back up file on a USB drive separate from the main PC from now on.

After some technical adjustments my PC will be fully functional by late Sunday, so I will start posting proper from it on Monday. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. 

I appreciate your patience and support during this difficult time. Thank you for your kind words and comments and I’m sorry that I couldn’t reply to all of them (thanks for your understanding). Going forward I will continue to respond to comments on all new posts. Also, if you have requested reuploads then I will address these ASAP. Please be patient.

Unfortunately, I had to skip the MY COMPILATION series this week, but it will be back next week. Everything else will be as usual, so please keep visiting and enjoying the blog.

MESSAGE 3 - UPDATE Re - Butterboy is down for now.

Hi All.

I expect to have my PC up and fully running (without stress) by next Monday, 11th March. No major losses and a shiny new power supply. Computers can be weird at times. (It's never the operator). The withdrawals have been terrible, patches don't work...

In the meantime, I am still doing my best to post using my crappy little tablet, very limited features. (I don't think anyone should use my tablet to run a blog.)

I will try to keep to the formats we are all used to. Fortunately, I had some posts prescheduled into the blog framework, including todays post. I also have my own compilations on a separate back up disc, so, Fridays Butterboy compilation will be available.

For the next few days, I will post what I can find, probably a bunch of older posts that need resurrection.  or reups of sets that have been requested previously.

The My Compilation series will not be completed on time and will therefore resume the following week.

Also please note that I will respond to messages when I am able to.

The good thing to come out of this is realizing that not everything we think is a big issue, ever is as big as it first seems. Additionally, a couple of good learnings have been put into the personal memory bank for the future.
