Shrine Records had an incredibly short lifespan, operating in Washington, D.C., during the mid-'60s under the direction of Eddie Singleton and Raynoma Gordy. While the music was rich with passion and talent, the label struggled commercially, and a tragic warehouse fire wiped out much of its catalog. These surviving recordings are now legendary among collectors, making the Shrine compilations essential listening. 

Much like Vol. 1, Vol. 2 delivers a mix of upbeat grooves and heartfelt ballads, capturing the essence of Shrine’s roster.
