"Faded Love", a sentimental song about lost love, is a Western Swing song written by Bob Wills, his father John Wills and his brother, Billy Jack Wills.
The song was a major hit for Bob Wills And The Texas Playboys (MGM 10786), reaching number eight on the country charts in 1950 and it became one of his signature songs.
The melody of “Faded Love” came and it’s nearly identical with the ballad "Darling Nelly Gray", composed by Benjamin Hanby in 1856, which John Wills knew as a fiddle tune.
The tune was subsequently used by Geordie music hall singer Joe Wilson to set his song “Keep Yor Feet Still Geordie Hinny” and by trade union activist and Industrial Workers of the World member Ralph Chaplin, to set “The Commonwealth Of Toil” song.
Diggin’ around, I followed the time marks and set all the four songs in the best possible chronological order they were recorded, making a not mixed compilation which I hope you'll enjoy!

Only Various Artists compilations will be accepted.
Only one compilation per week from each contributor with a limit of 25 tracks per track list per submission. (Total 25 tracks only). You can submit a new track list the following week.
The Topic is your choice, Genre is your choice and any music is acceptable. (If readers don't like the topic or choices then they don't have to pick them up)
When presenting your submission, the Topic of your compilation should be Noted as well as the sound quality of the compilation. (i.e., 320Kbps MP3, Flac, etc).
Whilst most would prefer MP3's @ 320 kbps all I request is a good sound quality.
A track list must be supplied together with a LINK for your Compilation. (Please do not send the compressed file)
Artwork is not necessary but would be welcomed. All submissions need to arrive via email to:
