Invitation to the BB Sharing Zone
Welcome to the BB Sharing Zone, a new space where visitors can connect, request music, and share helpful links with one another. It’s designed to be simple, friendly, and easy to use, a little corner of Butterboy where everyone can help everyone else find the music they’re searching for.
If you’re looking for a particular album, artist, compilation, or rare gem, just head to the Requests Box (the blue section). Type your request clearly, press send, and it will appear live for everyone to see. Other visitors can then jump in and help if they have a link or a copy to share.
When you want to post a working link, use the Supporting Links Box (the green section). This area is only for replies, uploads, and helpful links. Anything posted here becomes instantly visible and clickable for all visitors.
Please note: This is a trial run, and there may be a few teething problems as we get everything settled. If something looks odd or doesn’t behave as expected, don’t worry, just be patient and enjoy the process. It will soon become a smooth, fun place for everyone.
You’ll find the Sharing Zone link on the main page (right side). It looks like this:
Simple Rules for Everyone
To keep the Sharing Zone friendly and easy to follow, please stick to a few simple guidelines:
- Post your requests only in the blue Requests Box - this keeps all album searches together.
- Only post links or replies only in the green Supporting Links Box - this keeps all shared content organised. Please don't leave requests in this box
- Please request only the items you’re genuinely searching for - no long lists or bulk requests. One or two requests per day keeps things fair and manageable.
- Be respectful and friendly - this space works best when everyone helps each other.
- No spam, no advertising, and no unrelated chatter - the Sharing Zone is for music requests and music links only.
I’ll keep this Chat section running as long as it’s used with thought and kindness.
Thanks, and enjoy.
BB

ReplyDeleteMuito interessante, funcional e agregador! Parabéns pela iniciativa e sucesso nesse novo projeto, Forte abraço
ReplyDeleteGreat idea ! I hope it will be a Roman triumph.
ReplyDeleteCool idea! I hope it takes off.
ReplyDeleteCould be good to have the requests (automatically) numbered, or with a date stamp, so visitors know how much they have missed since their last visit.
ReplyDeleteLooking for ( download of) - can be abreviated to ISO (in search of). You could do ISOM (320 MP3) or ISOF (FLAC), but askers shouldn't be too 'picky'.
TIA (thanks in advance) is also useful. A way to thank suppliers after in the right hand box could be good.
Suppliers can copy the request from the left column to the right column - however, askers should be so precise and correct (year..., number of discs with deluxe versions) as possible.
Please understand I am just trying to help with my comments, based on my experience on the zinhof music shoutbox.
It's a BGI (bloody great idea).

ReplyDeleteHot stuff! I noticed BB even got the ball rolling with a link, but the link name was totally cryptic with regards to the "request", so either there needs to be a reply calling out the link name, or the name of the link has to hold a clue as to what it contains, I should think.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I appreicate your absolute knowledge and love of music.
ReplyDeletecool! ..
ReplyDeleteGood luck BB.
ReplyDeleteTo all,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the suggestions - I’ll keep working on improving the format as we go.
For now it’s running reasonably well, even if a little rough around the edges.
One small favour: when posting a link in response to a request, please include the name of the item you’re sharing, not just the link. It makes things much easier for everyone following along.
Cheers.
Be gentle, be humble. Say please. Nobody owes you nothing. Be gentle and thankful for the time and effort others give away when sharing. Create community, not greediness. Say thanks. Create dialogue. Monopolising the request box is greedy and unfriendly.
ReplyDeleteFingers x-ed this'll work wonderfully. Thanks for coming up with the idea mate.
ReplyDeleteWonderful idea. Just like Old Melodies. SPx
ReplyDeleteBuenísima iniciativa!! El que ama la música sin falsos egos es generoso y quiere compartirla desinteresadamente con los que también la aman.
ReplyDeleteGracias, y que esta genial idea nos nutra a todos.
Wow! I can't believe all that you do for us!
ReplyDeleteMy face hurts from smiling so much! It's like going back in time. Yes, people are making silly requests. "Any and all Celine Dion" (Like they have NONE?) And yes, BB and I filled the same request 6 minutes apart. (It happens). And yes, a few people are greedy and are making way too many requests right away (spoiled brats). But BOY! Am I ever having fun! Thank you BB for doing this. Let's keep it "Rough around the edges". (At least for a while.)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful idea, BB. What a thoughtful soul you truly are.
ReplyDeleteThank you, BB. Brings me back to the days of the late great Willard's Wormhole.
ReplyDeleteHi BB... Thank you for this...
