IN THE CHARTS 1971

VA - In the Charts 1971, November (A Butterboy Compilation) CD1+CD2+CD3

"In The Charts 1971" ... visiting the tracks that are familiar and forgotten.

All these tracks were in the US and/or UK charts in 1971, (with a few Australian chart entries occasionally)

It seems like yesterday we were dancing to these tunes. I hope you enjoy this mix of artists from USA and UK.

  1. Thanks for another good compilation. However, Amarillo didn't feature Peter Kay. They did record it together many, many years later. The 1971 version was just Tony Christie.

    1. Great catch, LOFC.
You're absolutely right. The original 1971 version of “(Is This the Way To) Amarillo” was performed solely by Tony Christie and released on MCA Records. Peter Kay’s involvement came decades later. Thanks for the correction, historical accuracy matters, especially in music archiving.
      Cheers.

      59 out of 60 = 98.34%, not a bad result...
      Cheers.
