End - From Beginning To End, 1964-1970 [2015] (4 x CD's)

THE END

End - From Beginning To End, 1964-1970 [2015] (4 x CD's)

British pop / psych band who had just released one proper Lp out in 1969 + a handful of 45 7" vinyl singles between 1965-68. The End is more of an obscure / off-the-radar '60's band but they are definitely most noted as well as remember for initially being discovered, produced and managed by Stones bassist Bill Wyman. Nearly every one of this 4-CD box set's 61 tracks are great - I have to admit. Personnel: Collin Griffin - guitar & vocals, Nick Graham - keyboards & vocals, Terry Taylor - guitar, Dave Brown - bass & vocals and Hugh Attwoll - drums. Recommended for fans and followers of the 23rd Turnoff, World Of Oz, The Move, early Pink Floyd, Rainbow Ffolly, Magic Mixture and Idle Race.

This is a fantastic 4 CD box set with amazing remastering to make this music sound the best it has ever sounded on CD, obviously this is total pre Tucky Buzzard and I feel it is about safe to say in this small box you get everything The End ever recorded under that name, you get there earliest recordings from 1964 on the first disc and there one lone album on the second disc which also includes some never released bonus tracks up until now, the last 2 discs cover a lot of outtakes and studio jams that have been in a vault for 50 years now only to be released finally, the end where one of the great British mid 60s bands that did not seem to get much attention at the time but what saved them was they got the attention of Bill Wyman from the stones who would produce them and helped them change in 1969 from the end to Tucky Buzzard, with this release you get everything that the end probably ever recorded all in this nice box with a nice color booklet w/photos and a large essay you will need to read with your glasses if you are my age, this is a sensational collection that belongs in any mid 60's British rock fans collection (Amazon)
