This box features 75 Elvis songs from 1954 to 1960. These songs already existed before Elvis adopted them as his own. Collected here are 177 original versions of songs, which Elvis interpreted and compared them to the versions from Elvis. Both, popular songs and rarities are featured in this box. Elvis owned a huge record collection with records from various genres. Some people still think that "Blue Suede Shoes" is an Elvis song.  In some cases, it is more or less obvious that Elvis used a certain song as a draft.  The concept behind this release is to let the listener compare Elvis's recording with either the original or perhaps the one that inspired his version. 

These 9 CDs are a treasure trove of cover versions of Elvis, plus the originals and other versions that could have been an inspiration for Elvis! You can hear here how Elvis changed a song - mostly for the better! Sometimes, when he liked a song very much, he changed almost nothing.  In some cases, the set offers more than one artist doing the same song. Many of the original recordings are not easy to find since some didn’t sell many copies or make the popular music charts. The time frame for the recordings by Elvis is from 1954 to 1960.
