VA - In The Charts JANUARY 1963 (A Butterboy Compilation) CD1+CD2+CD3

Welcome to a New series of "In The Charts" ... visiting the tracks that are familiar and forgotten.

All these tracks were in the US and/or UK charts in JANUARY 1963

It seems like yesterday we were dancing to these tunes. I hope you enjoy this mix of artists from USA and UK.

I hope you have enjoyed all of the sometimes-forgotten tracks from 1963.

  2. Great idea and looks to be an eagerly awaited series. Not sure about it being only yesterday I was dancing to these tunes, but I remember The Ritz in Kingsbury (Middlesex) where I practiced a dance called "The Quaker" - which was pick your partner, shuffle three times round the dance hall and then out to the car park for me "Oats". 'Knee trembling' was the order of the day. Ah, those black and white days of yore.

  5. Yay! The year of my birth. A very interesting year in music. Right before the British Invasion (or the year it started, depending on who you ask). Looking forward to hearing the music. Thanks so much BB! And Happy New Year!
