A pint of beer at the Torrington and all these jazzers would show up to play.

The mixed bags are usually more challenging than the themed dips.

      Cheers.

  3. Wow. I'm really curious about Phil Falangan & The Sex Gods. It seems you've beaten the internet with them BB. Literally couldn't find a single thing about them. Have you got any info? Thanks for these Lucky Dips. They're wonderfully obscure!

    1. Hi Smuj,
Phil Flanagan was a member of the a Band called Loaded Dice. This set was made by him and his son. It has never been issued as an album. He gave me a copy of the tracks. He passed away this year. R.I.P. Phil.
Loaded Dice were a hard-working power pop band that were touted as being the next big thing from Western Australia. Loaded Dice Formed in 1974, they started out as covers band primarily playing 60’s beat but specializing in Beatles songs. They went through a few line-up changes and gathered a large fan base.
They were signed to WEA, but big things never happened. They had very good songs and were very good at making the crowd rock in their hometown but when they moved to Sydney it was hard to get the local crowds interested and it wasn’t long until they disbanded and returned home. They released a couple of singles and an album which had a lot of energy just like their live shows.
