VA - Je n'aime toujours pas le jazz, mais ça j'aime bien ! [2013] 4 x CD's

This is a pleasant enough compilation of 'safe' music--don't expect cutting edge experimental stuff. Lots of good artists on here, including some historically important people to some moderns. One might quibble about some selections (Blood, Sweat & Tears?? Henry Mancini? And I would bet this compilation is the only one which includes both Billie Holiday and Doris Day). (Amazon)

  7. wonderful stuff and thank you for this and many other cerebellum dissolving posts. there is only one track on this that i immediately had to send to the trash. there are few singers that can make me want to take a sledgehammer to the radio but dc thomas is number one on that tiny roll of intolerance. have you have ever heard the bs&t version of sympathy for the devil? ..... i do keep a copy of that because it is hysterically funny. when he sings "pleased to meecha!" i immediately picture jimmy durante.

    1. Hi DEPRAVOS DE LA MOUR,
Thank you for your coment and personal observations.
Only 1 track out of 75 tracks, that is good to me.
I hope I can continue to offer material that makes you think about music.

      Cheers.
