OLD NEW ORLEANS

VA - Louisiana & The Old New Orleans Sound [2012] (4 x CD's)

What a Great CD collection this is. 100 songs of the New Orleans sounds. I love this album. It starts with Mardi Gras Mambo, a favorite at Mardi Gras time. Then you get I Wish Someone Would Care, by The Royal Queen of New Orleans "Miss Irma Thomas". She is a true New Orleans Treasure along side of the likes of Fats Domino, Al Hirt & Johnny Adams. You get more Irma Thomas & several Fats Domino along with Louisiana Man by Doug Kershaw. You just can't find songs like Breakin Up is Hard To Do, by Jivin' Gene & The Jokers, and Mhatilda by  Cookie & The Cupcakes. And so many more. (Amazon)
