VA - Can The Glam! [2022] (4 x CD's)

"Can The Clam" subtitled 80 Glambusters - Rockers, Shockers & Teenyboppers from the 70's, this clamshell box set is exactly that!  It is yet another collection of golden glam gems from Cherry Red Records following in the footsteps of other highly recommended Glam Rock box sets such as All the Young Droogs & Oh You Pretty Things. Comprising of 4 CDs, 80 tracks & an informative colour booklet, the box set follows a set formula, i.e. A sprinkling of classic glam rock songs by household names intermingled with a large selection of rare glam rock gems from fairly obscure artists. The sound quality is superb and the quality of the music proves that the 70's was a prolific period for infectiously catchy pop music.

An idiosyncratic but brilliant selection of 70's glam and bubble gum rock. Some obvious hits but lots of crackers from the lower chart reaches which should have been monsters. Aural sunshine ! (Amazon)

  3. Hi, who can't get enough glam? Me and millions of others.

However, there is a neglected genre compiled as Bonehead Crunchers which dumbs it down even more. The Australian edition is awesome and dumb as a rock, i.e. unbeatable.

Also, the hard-to-find Killed By Glam series unearths mostly European nonentities who all had no success at all with dumb repetitive "tunes", it's all blissful of course.

Thanks for your labours, (of love no doubt!)
