IN THE CHARTS, DECEMBER1963

VA - In the Charts DECEMBER1963 (A Butterboy Compilation) CD1+CD2+CD3

This continues the series "In the Charts 1963" ... visiting the tracks that are familiar and forgotten. It is also the last installment for 1963 for this year.

All these tracks were in the US and/or UK charts in DECEMBER 1963.

It seems like yesterday we were dancing to these tunes. I hope you enjoy this mix of artists from USA and UK.

I hope you have enjoyed all of the sometimes-forgotten tracks from 1963.

    2. Sorry should have been clearer - what I meant was that The Beatles released I want to hold your hand in January '64 went to No1 and the rest as they say is history.

    3. Hi Dr Robert.
The Beatles released “I Want to Hold Your Hand” in the UK on 29 November 1963. The song was released by Parlophone Records with “This Boy” as the single’s B-side. The song was recorded on 13 October 1963 and was the first Beatles record to be made using four-track recording equipment. It was also the group’s first American number-one hit, entering the Billboard Hot 100 chart on 18 January 1964 at number 45 and starting the British Invasion of the American music industry.
      Cheers.

  5. Many thanks BB, time keeps marching on. When you said to @lemonflag there's an opening, were you referring to the hole in the bucket, dear Liza?
