Yorkshire guitarist and songwriter Bill Nelson‘s 2002 box set Noise Candy.

After Be Bop Deluxe, Bill Nelson is astonishingly prolific. He has released a lot of electronics work in his studio, on his own label, and has so many solo albums that he doesn't know what it is anymore. Well, Bill Nelson has released a limited-edition box set of six discs. Now, I wonder what the hell is going on...  According to his own commentary, he recently renewed his equipment to a digital one. And when I was taking out and listening to the analog era tapes in the closet to sort them out, recordings that I didn't even remember came out roughly, and while I was doing things like, well, not bad, no, some things are quite good, etc., I started to think about how about putting together each of the things with different tendencies in a limited edition ... So, this box set contains six new albums edited from studio tapes from 1990 to 2000. Each CD has a different title and cover image, and the booklet is structured as if it were a bundle of six albums. In the era of independent production, it would be like putting a two-LP album in a six-set box.  And... gradually, this is also becoming less and less surprising, but it seems that the recording stock has not disappeared yet. Oh, and a truly talented person can create an infinite number of works. The artwork is also beautiful with nerves down to the smallest detail. (Amazon)

You have to marvel at the productivity of this man, coupled with the staggering quality over 121 songs. He has a unique musical outlook and depicts a spacey, sci-fi world. It is also one of the most beautifully packaged boxsets out there.
