VA - Horny Rock Songs (A Butterboy Compilation) CD1+CD2+CD3 REPOST

HORNY ROCK SONGS

VA - Horny Rock Songs (A Butterboy Compilation) CD1+CD2+CD3        REPOST

Horn sections are an integral part of musical genres such as jazz, R&B, blues, soul, funk, calypso, ska, and gospel. Most of these horn sections feature some combination of saxophones, trumpets and trombones. More rarely, other wind or brass instruments such as flute, clarinet or tuba may be added. Other popular musical genres, such as rock, pop, hip-hop, Latin, and country music also use horn sections... (Wikipedia)

This compilation looks at Horns in rock music. When I listen to bands with a brass section, I usually get dragged into the rhythm of the song being played. They seem to chug along with ease. All of these bands include brass/horn sections (at least two woodwind or brass instruments - trumpets/saxophones/trombones etc.

I hope you enjoy the selection chosen. [Thanks to mrRadio for the compilation suggestion]

  2. Great selection, and I too have started more than a few mixes with Matthew's "Fanfare", but I must say that Sloan's "Everything you've done wrong" exclusion is borderline criminal (o;

    1. Thanks, D'artagnan.
      Sloan's song is a beauty, but unfortunately didn't make the cut this time. It may appear in future volumes, or criminally not. ;)
      Cheers.

  3. The Omission of Rick Danko's "Ophelia" from "Live On Breeze Hill" is nowhere near borderline, it fully criminal!
