TIME LIFE

VA - Time Life 60's Music Revolution [2012] (9 x CD's)

Time Life has never disappointed with their original Artist and song sets. This 9-CD Box Set is composed of four 2xCD & 1x CD volume. Comes in a box that folds out from the top which holds 5 jewel cases. Time/Life's '60s Music Revolution highlights 145 singles released in that era. Along with the original versions of radio favorites. In the 1960's every year brought new sounds, new styles and new stars. There was folk rock, party rock, the British Invasion, psychedelic rock, Memphis soul, Motown and more.  Now all the memorable music from this magical decade has been captured in one meaningful set: 60's Music Revolution. From Motown to Flower Power, go back to the grooviest decade with party songs and protest songs, love songs and dance hits, and even one-of-a-kind fun hits in this box set.

This is a fantastic set! Especially the way that some of the great hits from the 60's are grouped together to facilitate a “collective memory consciousness” of that troubled but very memorable time and place. It’s appeal and beauty are timeless. (Amazon)

  2. Ever since T/L started putting these comps together they have always been well put together. It was always great, when you had a subscription, and every couple of months, a new one would arrive in the mail.

A question for you, have ever had access to the Warner Loss Leaders and if you do, would you consider doing those comps?

Thanks for the site. A goto stop everyday. Always something Interesting.

  3. What a stellar lineup of tunes from a decade so often stereoptyped as Beatlemania, hippies, pot & acid, miniskirts, blah blah blah. So stop with the talking altready and just listen!

  9. I think I have a big box of only Time-Life compilations. They are all so good. I don't know why I skip it too often and only come back to it, when I get great reminders like this.
