Lucky Dip's will be a mystery gift to those who choose to pick them up.

“… it was clear that nobody was expecting anything like this. Many wouldn’t have heard any prog rock before, or had only heard the kind of prog that gave the genre a bad name. This was a performance to convert the sceptics.” Bob Leiser

  6. Thank you for the Vertigo albums! Had many of them, nice to fill the holes. Just FYI you have included 12 albums in this part, there are 2x #75 & 76.
Are all of these CD sourced? Does your numbering reflect the order in which these albums were released?

    1. Hi MusicFan,
      You're welcome.
These posts are a mix of Cd's Lp's and previously digitsed files.
I am just following the Wikipedia list found here.

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vertigo_Records

Sometimes an album was released in another country and can appear twice in the list. Occasionally a release was made in one country only. To be honest, I should probably label the files as they are marked on each album.

      Cheers.

  7. Hi Butterboy,
I am in accordance with MusicFan. So I think you have to renumber the twelve albums as follows :
From 071 to 076 as you propose. The Vertigo references go from 6360 064 to 6360 070. Then number
    077 Black Sabbath (6360 071) - 078 Freedom (6360 072) - 079 Beggars Opera (6360 073) -
    080a Catapilla (6360 074) - 080b Ian Carr (6360 076) & 080c Jackson Heights / Ragamuffins (6360 077).
And you land on your feet for the next paragraph # 98 (081-090).
FYI : The Vertigo 6360 065 is the 1973 spanish edition of Ian Matthews / If You Saw Thro' My Eyes (6360 034) & the Vertigo 6360 075 doesn't exist.
All mentionned references are only original LP. No CD or other format.
Could you please correct ? Many thxs .... and good nite,
    DB

  8. Hello BB,
I've just ended to listen this complete DIP # 94; all is correct except as follow :
for info, 2 remarks : the original Hokus Poke (Vertigo 6360 064) has been released in 1972 and not in 1991 &
the original Jackson Heights' Ragamuffins (Vertigo 6360 077) released in 1973 and not in 1972
    asap for list & cheers
