VA - Dynamite 100% - 600% [1998-2003] + 100% Dynamite! - Dancehall Reggae Meets Rap In New York City Vol.01 & Vol. 02 [2009] (8 x CD's)

Highly acclaimed Soul Jazz series that started in the late 1990's, ran to six volumes and spawned two spin-off collections.

The original Dynamite 100% - 600% albums combined ska, rocksteady, reggae, roots, dancehall and dub cuts with the accent on party and dancefloor favourites. Two volumes of 'Dynamite! Dancehall Style' followed in the mid-2000's.

In 2009 Soul Jazz released two hip hop/dancehall fusion collections: '100% Dynamite! - Dancehall Reggae Meets Rap In New York City'. The proximity of the West Indies to the USA meant that many Jamaican musicians were influenced by American styles of music whilst at the same time defining new styles of their own such as Ska, Rocksteady and Dub.

The Dynamite ! releases from Soul Jazz Records in London are the definitive releases of some of the best reggae and Rock steady music from the late 70's, some of which is not pressed on the original labels anymore and is therefore hard to find.

    1. Hi Doc,
Thanks for asking why no comments? Appreciated.
That is a normal occurrence on most posts. It really doesn't bother me as the downloads are still making any people happy.

Do you really want 274 thank you's? The fact that this collection was wanted by so many should be satisfaction itself. I agree that if you like something here it would be polite to say thank you, but it should not be something to get angry about. My 2 cents.

I am glad you like these set too. And you have a great sense of humor about it.
I wonder what it would look like if each person who comments captured the actual download numbered at the time they picked it up.
